Cosmetic Details

The V-12 is available in a painted black finish with antiqued brass MP logo badge.

We occasionally have these available in a custom vintage silver powdercoat color. Use the drop-down menu above to select the color. If the "add to cart" button changes to "sold out," that means we no longer have the silver color available.

Power supply options

This microphone includes our standard power supply. It is a zener-regulated supply that is comparable to what you would get with most any commercial tube mic under $1000.

As an alternative, we offer a custom, US-made premium tube mic power supply. These are handbuilt in California. To upgrade your V-12 to this premium PSU, order it here and choose the "upgrade bundle" option for discounted pricing. Note - the upgrade bundle pricing is only available if the PSU is ordered in the same shopping cart as the V-12 microphone.

Cable options

The V-12 includes a basic XLR7 cable. If you prefer a premium cable, order the Gotham GAC-7 cable here. The GAC-7 uses heavier conductors for the heater circuit, which means lower losses due to cable resistance. This translates to more consistent power for the tube's filament, which is critical to performance.
